The Brain Behind the Behavior: Neurobiology and practical tools for caregivers and professionals

Participants will learn about how trauma impacts the brain, behavior, and health outcomes. The audience will take a deep dive into the latest research in the field of neurobiology in regard to how trauma can impact both the structure and function of the brain. Having a basic understanding of the neurobiology of trauma can help foster/adoptive parents and professionals become more empathetic and patient. In addition, the audience will learn how our parenting practices should adapt based upon what we are learning about the brain and trauma.
